Synopsis:

All men are created equal…then, a few become firefighters. Only the Brave, based on the true story of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, is the heroic story of one unit of local firefighters that through hope, determination, sacrifice, and the drive to protect families, communities, and our country become one of the most elite firefighting teams in the country. As most of us run from danger, they run toward it–they watch over our lives, our homes, everything we hold dear, as they forge a unique brotherhood that comes into focus with one fateful fire.

Film review:

A movie about firefighting unlike I’ve seen before. Only the Brave, is maybe taking its message literal when you finally see the film- it does feel like the movie is just for the brave ones who can take in tragedy as emotional as this. What’s more heartbreaking is the film is based on a real-life story of a group of elite firefighters called the Granite Mountain Hotshots. These group of men who you’ll get to know well as the story unfolds is lead by great actors such as Josh Brolin, played Eric Marsh and Jeff Bridges who played Duaine Steinbrink. The least to mention is the phenomenal performances from the whole cast of the crew - making me speechless in the end.

The director, Joseph Kosinski did a fantastic job telling a story of these brave men. As well as the writers Ken Nolan and Eric Warren Singer for a genuinely heroic real-life story to share. A masterpiece and a work of art, this film is incredible, heart-warming, and shocking in different levels. A movie with sincere and raw intentions to connect- an immense feeling to take.

A must-see film, profoundly moving and draws you right at the core. One of the best movies of this year.
