Misbehaviour★★★½

History told amusingly. Nonetheless, it does not take away the seriousness of how the start of an era began. Where women openly talked about equality and eventually took the streets to be liberated from the limiting patriarchal mindset.

Misbehaviour, in its entirety, is a highly notable film relevant in all times. Set in the 1970s, the film’s mood and aesthetics are apparent and much appreciated from the low television quality to the wardrobe picks. The film delivered a natural look that will take you back in time.

Although the narrative focuses on one topic– women’s liberation, there was compelling storytelling of the many different perspectives and subplots, showing different aims and backgrounds of all the women who ended up connecting. Through this film, the various accounts of women all over the world, together with their story, was told beautifully.

Generally a film with great importance, Misbehaviour is both delightful and sincerely heartwarming to watch. Women’s liberation is about equality and a progressive movement for all human beings.
