Film Review :
The movie’s witty script and the cast’s excellent comic performances resulted into an epic wild night of an office Christmas party. With every bit of surprise, both good and bad, you can just hear bursts of laughter among the audiences, me being one of them.
The film is successful in it’s genre because it has a great plot, amazing cast and excellent script. There’s just no stopping at laughable scenes. Even when things are getting tough, there’s still room for sheer randomness and comic relief. Great timing and directing! There were wacky and strange stuff here and there but it all seemed quite natural in an absurd way, and thankfully not dragging.
Office Christmas Party reminds me of Hangover, without the adrenaline rush of always chasing, running out of time, and/or life-or-death events. In this movie, there were scenes of tragedy and misfortune like when you’re prospect investor accidentally breaks his teeth while swinging off the christmas lights because he unintentionally got high! While realising that all their efforts was a waste of time and the only thing they have left is a completely trashed office. Regardless, the group’s spirit still remained intact for they still have their last hope.
This film is so relatable, making it extremely hilarious. There is that connection with the audience that makes you want to say, “That’s so true!”. Or would rather just laugh and feel quite agreeable.
